Trade shows are how Chinese factories meet US, EU, and MENA buyers without cold-calling. Below is the show list we recommend to factory clients, by region. We're at the top US discount-channel shows ourselves and can introduce you to buyers in person.
How to use this list. Pick the shows that match what your factory makes. Apply early - the bigger shows sell booth space 6-12 months out. If you can't attend in person, you can still get value from a show by going as a visitor (many are free with preregistration) to walk the floor and see what buyers are sourcing.
What we never charge for. Show recommendations, introductions to buyers we already know from these shows, and help preparing samples before you fly. We make money on US-side services (trademark, sales outsourcing, warehouse, catalog), not on show advice.
United States - where the discount-channel buyers walk
The US discount and liquidation channel is the largest import consumer market in the world. These are the shows where the buyers behind TJX, Ross, Burlington, HomeGoods, Five Below, Dollar Tree, Big Lots, and the major closeout brokers actually source from.
ASD Market Week - Las Vegas, March + August. The single best US show for discount and value-channel buyers.
Inspired Home Show (IHA) - Chicago, March. Top US show for housewares, kitchen, small appliances.
Tupelo Furniture Market - Tupelo MS, February + August. The discount-channel furniture show.
High Point Market - High Point NC, April + October. Largest home furnishings market by showrooms.
Hardlines Supplier Event - Las Vegas, March. The hardware / tools show (formerly National Hardware Show).
Las Vegas Market - Las Vegas, January + July. West Coast furniture + home.
Europe - design + retail prestige
European shows are where you meet EU retail buyers, plus the design-conscious US buyers who fly in for design scouting. The right EU show depends on whether your factory is discount-channel (Ambiente, Heimtextil) or design-led (Salone del Mobile, Maison & Objet).
Ambiente - Frankfurt, January/February. The biggest international consumer-goods show.
Heimtextil - Frankfurt, January. World's largest home textiles show.
BAU Munich - Munich, January (biennial). World's leading building-materials trade fair.
Salone del Mobile - Milan, April. The reference design-led furniture fair.
Spoga+gafa - Cologne, June. Garden and outdoor trade fair.
Middle East - Dubai as the MENA hub
Dubai hosts MENA's main interior-design, hospitality, and lighting shows. The buyer mix is heavy on UAE, Saudi, Egyptian, and Indian subcontinent importers - many of whom also source for re-export to Africa and South Asia.
INDEX Dubai - Dubai, June. MENA's largest interiors + design event. Co-located with The Hotel Show.
Light Middle East - Dubai, January. The MENA lighting + smart-building show.
Big 5 Global - Dubai, November. The MENA construction trade show.
China - where your factory might exhibit
If your factory exports direct, these are the China shows where international buyers (including ours) come to source. Most factories exhibit at one or two; a few exhibit at five or more.
Canton Fair (广交会) - Guangzhou, Spring (April/May) + Fall (October/November). The world's largest B2B sourcing event.
CIFF Guangzhou - Guangzhou, March. The dedicated furniture export fair.
East China Fair (华交会) - Shanghai, March. Home textiles + light industry.
Furniture China (SIBF) - Shanghai, September. International furniture exhibition.
Guzhen Lighting Fair (古镇灯博会) - Zhongshan, March + October. The China lighting show.
How we use shows for our factory clients
Three ways we connect what we do at shows to your factory:
We attend. We're at the top US discount-channel shows (ASD, IHA, High Point, Las Vegas Market, Tupelo, Hardlines Supplier Event). If you're at the same show, we can meet in person.
We introduce. After a show, we can introduce you to specific US buyers we met there - useful if you want to follow up but didn't have a booth yourself.
We scout. We walk the floors and report what buyer-org sourcing teams are looking at. We share this with factory clients in our monthly digest.
